Food Science & Nutrition
With rapid social changes and an ageing population, people are becoming more interested in food supplements and health foods. As a result, there has been an increase in demand for health care professionals. With an attempt to meet this demand, the Department of Food Science and Nutrition provides a course that covers a range of subjects dealing with food, nutrition, food service, and food nutrition education. The course also provides work experience through internship programs at local companies, institutes and organizations. Furthermore, based on the results of aptitude and personality test, each student is assisted in adapting to the University life, developing study skills, and advancing to career in health care professionals upon graduation.
Food Science and Nutrition is a field where you learn about how eating habits affect the overall health of human beings and can improve the quality of human life. Bad eating habits cause obesity which may lead to chronic diseases such as cancer, hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, and diabetes. With rapid social changes and an aging population, people are even more interested in food supplements and health foods that over consumption of these foods has become a social issue. As a result, there has been an increase in demand for health care professionals.
The course covers a range of subjects dealing with food, nutrition, food service, and food nutrition education, and provides work experience through internship programs at local companies, institutes and organizations. Based on the results of aptitude and personality tests, each student will be assisted in adapting to university life, developing study skills, and getting employment as health care professionals upon graduation.

You can work abroad as a nutritionist! Students will have opportunities to acquire more than one foreign language and study abroad as an exchange student, which will help them find jobs abroad.
You can work in the biotechnology industry. Students will have opportunities to do internships and have hands-on experience with biotech-based food products.
