University Visions
University's Goals
Changshin University aims to focus on the development of education programs in the fields of health and welfare, and global education.
Specialization in Health and Welfare
In recent years, economic development has brought changes in social networks and an aging population. Such changes in society have increased the demand for social welfare. Hence, the university will give full support to research and development of education programs in the fields of health and welfare. This means the Nursing Department and the Social Welfare Department as well as the other related departments will be supported to conduct research and develop their curriculums to meet the increasing demand in social welfare.
Implementation of Global Education Programs
The world has become a global village where the acquisition of a foreign language is a necessary asset to have in order to make a difference in any profession. All students will have opportunities to take part in international internship programs and foreign language programs in the country where the language is used. These programs will be operated by sister schools of Changshin University. In addition, students majoring in English, Japanese, Chinese, Early Childhood Education, Business Management, and Tax Accounting will be able to study abroad in the two final academic years of their bachelor's degree courses. With the provision of such learning environment, the university hopes all students will be able to speak at least one foreign language upon graduation.
University Motto
Changshin University's motto is 'A Small and Strong University'. It reflects its mission in pursuing a reputation as a university small in student numbers making a difference in academic achievement. Being a small university can be a competitive factor; every student will be able to have access to academic support as well as student welfare. Moreover, every student will have a supervisor to support them as a mentor for life. Through consultations, student supervisors will help all students adapt to university life quickly and successfully, and find employment upon graduation in the area of their interest.
University's Religious Education for Developing Leadership with Christian Perspectives
Changshin University is the only university in Gyeongsangnam-do Province founded on Christian perspectives. In order to develop leadership with Christian perspectives, a chap디 service is held once a week and all students in their first two academic years in university are required to attend it. Guest speakers invited to chapel services are Christians who are well-known for their role as leaders in their professions. Students are also invited to attend Christian fellowship meetings and take advantage of counseling services provided by the University Chaplain.
