Course Description

The course aims to prepare students to be international business leaders who take part in the ever changing era of information technology, regionalism and globalization. They will be equipped with the required IT skills, foreign languages and hands-on experience and will be ready to take up the leadership in business. The curriculum is designed with two majors in mind. One prepares students for a career in business management, and the other in tax accounting. All students will be assisted in preparing for examinations for their formal qualifications. They may become a member of an employment support group and receive extensive support in finding employment upon graduation. For their relevant hands-on experience, they will be able to take part in an internship program developed in partnership with local industries. The Department of Economics aims to reach the employment rate of economics graduates to be over 80% and plans to be on the top 10 best courses in the nation in 10 years.

Students can major in either business management or tax accounting. They will have to take aptitude tests and consult their supervisors before making a final decision on their major.

Throughout their university life, students will receive extensive personalized support in preparing for employment upon graduation!

Upon enrolment, students will be assigned to a supervisor based on the results of their aptitude tests and consultations. Each supervisor will focus on one of the many possible positions of employment such as chartered accountants, tax accountants, revenue officers, and governments officials. All supervisors will serve as a mentor to each student hoping that every student leads a successful life every stage of his or her life.

Students will have a say in the improvement of the course. Every subject will be evaluated by students at the end of the program. Through presentations and projects, students will learn to develop and demonstrate their creative thinking and communication skills. As for their acquisition of foreign languages, they need to take part in the Global Language Education Program. Students can take advantage of the mentoring system where their supervisors will assist in reaching their life goals.
